Stage I: Written Examination (400 Marks)

This is the first stage, consisting of three parts conducted in a single shift. Parts B and C are qualifying in nature .

📚 Stage I Syllabus (Part A: General Studies)

The General Studies paper covers a wide range of topics, with a special focus on Uttar Pradesh :

• General Science: Basics of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

• History: Indian History (Ancient, Medieval, Modern) and the Indian National Movement.

• Indian Polity, Economy & Culture: Constitution, economic planning, and cultural heritage.

• Geography: World Geography and Geography of India.

• Current Affairs: National and International events of importance.

• General Aptitude: Logical and analytical abilities.

✍️ Stage II: Shorthand Dictation Test (200 Marks)

Candidates who qualify in Stage I (10 times the number of vacancies) are called for this test .

• Dictation: A 500-word passage in English is dictated at 100 words per minute (wpm) over 5 minutes.

• Transcription: Candidates must transcribe the passage on a computer within 30 minutes (requiring a typing speed of 40 wpm).

• Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 160 marks out of 200 to pass .

🎤 Stage III: Interview (75 Marks)

Candidates who qualify in Stage II (3 times the number of vacancies) are called for a personal interview to assess their overall suitability for the role .
