Job Description
Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSSC) invites online applications for direct recruitment to 22 vacancies of Assistant Sub-Inspector (Technical) in Bihar Police Radio (Vitantu), Patna. The selection will be done through a competitive examination consisting of a Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The post is classified under Level-5 pay matrix.

Candidates must select any one technical group at the time of application.
Selection for Main Exam: 20 times the number of vacancies (i.e., 20 × 22 = 440 candidates) will be selected category-wise based on Preliminary marks.

Paper 1: General Language Knowledge (100 marks, 1.5 hours)

✅ Final merit is based SOLELY on Paper 2 (Technical) marks.
Selection for PET: 5 times the number of vacancies (i.e., 5 × 22 = 110 candidates) will be selected category-wise based on Main Exam Paper 2 marks.
Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Qualifying Only

Important Notes
Normalization: If multiple shifts/sessions are held, Equi-Percentile Method will be used for normalized scores.
No marks for PET – only Pass/Fail.
Language Paper (Main Paper 1) does NOT affect ranking – only Technical Paper (Main Paper 2) determines merit.
Candidates must pass each stage separately to proceed to the next.
Educational Qualification
As of 01.08.2025, candidates must possess a 3-year Polytechnic Diploma with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in any one of the following disciplines from an institution recognized by a State or Central Government:
