Job Description
The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has announced direct recruitment for 122 vacancies for the post of "Adhinayak Anudesak" (Havildar Instructor) in the Bihar Home Guard Service Corps. The selection process involves a written exam (qualifying, 100 marks), followed by a physical efficiency test (PET, 100 marks). The written exam is only to shortlist candidates for the PET, and the final merit list will be based on the PET marks.
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
Stage 1: Written Examination (Qualifying)
The written exam is only a screening test to shortlist candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test. The marks obtained in this exam will not be considered for the final merit list.

Educational Qualification
As of 01-08-2025, candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination or an equivalent qualification.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen. Male, female, and transgender candidates can apply.
Reservation Benefits: The benefits of reservation, including the 35% horizontal reservation for women, are only applicable to original residents of Bihar. Candidates from other states will be treated as unreserved.
Physical Standards: Meeting the prescribed physical measurements is mandatory (qualifying in nature, no marks are given).

General/BC Males: 165 cm minimum
EBC/SC/ST Males: 160 cm minimum
All category Females: 155 cm minimum
Chest (Males Only):
General/BC/EBC: 81 cm (unexpanded) to 86 cm (expanded)
SC/ST: 79 cm (unexpanded) to 84 cm (expanded)
Weight: Minimum 48 kg for all female candidates.
Note: Standards for transgender candidates will be the same as for the Backward Class category.
