Job Description
The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) invites online applications for the Combined Direct Recruitment for Senior Computer Instructor and Basic Computer Instructor 2026. This recruitment is for positions under the Secondary Education Department and the Sanskrit Education Department (School Branch).
Total Vacancies: 3,951
Senior Computer Instructor: 322 posts (288 Non-Scheduled Area + 34 Scheduled Area)
Basic Computer Instructor: 3,629 posts (2,836 Non-Scheduled Area + 683 Scheduled Area + 200 for Sanskrit Dept. - exact distribution on page 1 & 7)
Posting Location: Rajasthan (both Non-Scheduled and Scheduled Areas)
Department Preference: Candidates must specify their department preference (Secondary or Sanskrit Education) in the online application, as allocation will be based on merit-cum-priority.

Important Notes
The syllabus and scope are as prescribed by RSSB and may be updated from time to time.
The Board may conduct the exam in CBT (Computer Based Test) , Tablet Based Test (TBT) , or Offline (OMR) mode.
If the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, a normalization process will be applied.
The answer key will be uploaded on the RSSB website after the exam. Objections can be raised with a fee of ₹100 per objection.
Educational Qualification
(1) For Senior Computer Instructor
Candidates must meet any one of the following (as per the amendment rules of 2021/2015 - Page 13):
M.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science (CS) / Information Technology (IT) / Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE) / Electrical Engineering (EE) / Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), OR
M.Sc. in Computer Science (CS) / Information Technology (IT), OR
Master in Computer Application (MCA), OR
'B' Level or 'C' Level (DOEACC/NIELIT), OR
Any equivalent or higher qualification recognized by the Government.
Additional Requirement: Practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
(2) For Basic Computer Instructor
Candidates must meet any one of the following (Page 13):
Graduate (Bachelor's degree) AND 'A' Level (DOEACC/NIELIT) OR PGDCA (minimum one year), OR
B.E. / B.Tech in CS / IT / ECE / EE / EEE / Electronic Instrumentation & Control (EIC) / Telecommunications & Instrumentation (TIE), OR
B.Sc. in CS / IT, OR
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA), OR
Any equivalent or higher qualification recognized by the Government.
Additional Requirement: Practical knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
Note for Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in the final year examination may apply but must obtain the required qualification by the exam date.
Note for Ex-Servicemen: Those with 15 years of military service and a certificate equivalent to graduation are eligible (Page 13).
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality (Page 14): Must be:
A citizen of India, OR
A subject of Nepal/Bhutan, OR
A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962, OR
A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries.
Character: Must possess a good character certificate from the last educational institution and two responsible persons (not relatives).
Marital Status & Children (Page 16):
Male with more than one living wife is ineligible.
Female married to a man with a living wife is ineligible.
Any applicant who accepted/payed dowry at marriage is ineligible.
Two-child norm applicable (since 01.06.2002): Candidates with more than two children are ineligible, with exceptions for single-birth multiples, deceased children, and widows/divorced women.
Ineligibility: Candidates previously debarred by RSSB for unfair means or fraudulent documents are ineligible if the debarment period is still active.
